the most basic problem about us,malaysian(or malay) is we shy to use it..
we just hope that someday,spontaneously we can fluently speak english..
we shy to learn and to make mistake..we care too much on what other people say

we care too much,yet we learn too little..including myself

so why not we take the first step..overcome our trauma-->scared to be laughed att

nice thread. i believe there are many English educated learners here. its a good thing if we can share among us. so, let us start with the usage of subject verb agreement which has caused a lot of confusion to Malaysian.

singular subject takes singular verb ( she eats ice cream), (Ali eats chocolate)
plural subject takes plural verb ( they eat ice cream), (Ali and Siti eat ice cream)


in singular subject sentences always put S at the verb to show that the subject is singular. this falls under simple past and present, past and present continuous and perfect tenses. there are 12 tenses in active voice.
